Spoiled kids don’t want to leave house, so parents take modem out for a day-trip instead
Kids these days…
Sorry, I just wanted to begin by stating that old cliche. It felt right. Long since were the days when kids relished the chance to get outside of their homes to roam and play in the great wide open. Nowadays, kids (and adults to be fair) are so glued to their electronic devices that they seemingly hate to do anything other than interact with a screen 24-7.
So when Australian parents
and her husband asked their kids to go out for a little day trip outside and got nothing but annoyed & disinterested answers, they knew there was only one thing to do. They would take their WiFi, and all that precious internet, on the road.
Below are the adventures of one modem…
Big mistake, kids, BIG MISTAKE…
According to Cassie, her husband is a truck driver, which means that he’s on the road most the week and only comes back home to his family for weekends.
And so the Modem’s adventure began…
“It’s not often that we are all home at the same time,”
“So Chris and I thought we’d take the kids on a day trip to Warrnambool to go to the model train show that was on there, as hubby and the boys love trains.”
“Our 13-year-old son was the only one who reluctantly agreed to go. In the end, we said to the kids that if they weren’t going to go, we’d take the modem instead and they said ok.”
When they all got back home from their trip, something truly beautiful happened.
“When we got home, our 17-year-old was so bored she actually cleaned her room and spent time with her younger brother.”
Respect to these parents for reminding their kids…the only shot at true happiness is to obey their orders. Just kidding, kidding. But serious, way to teach those tech-addicted kids a lesson, and remind them they should go outside more often. It really is a magical place, the outdoors. You young ones should try it sometime.
